Netbook vs Laptop – Pros & Cons?
Posted on Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Me
I need a new computer. My trust Sony Vaio has given up the ghost afte 4 and half year. It's served me well, but it's most likely headed to the computer graveyard in the sky.
So now I need to decided what to buy. I have been running my old laptop attached to a 22" external monitor, and use an external keyboard an mouse when I'm working from home (which is 95% of the time). I do however need to be mobile so I want either a netbook or a laptop so I've got the option of taking it with me to meetings etc. when I'm out of the office. I'm slightly dubios of buying a netbook as generally they're not particularly powerful. Having said that, the majority of the work I do (bar a bit of Photoshop & Dreamweaver) is online using Firefox, so I don't need a beast of a computer to get by. Has anyone had any experience, going from a laptop/desktop to a netbook? Or perhaps you've got a netbook? I'm basically looking for the pros and cons of going from a high spec laptop (albeit high spec 4 years ago!) to a netbook. Anyone got any thoughts?
