Return of The Blonde Kid!
So Jordan is back after 3 weeks away, and everyone is pleased to see him. We’ve had his fan club knocking the door daily asking “is he back yet?” and then looking very disappointed when we said no. So it was hardly a surprise that within 15 mins of him being home, the lookouts had spotted him, and we had 3 of them in the back garden, followed shortly by the Grandparents.
However before that, as soon as he arrived home we sent him upstairs to his bedroom (we told him he had to put something away up there) and eagerly followed him up the stairs. What he didn’t know was that we’d completely redecorated his room whilst he was away - I think Steph and I were just as excited waiting for him to come home and see it as he was when he saw it! Suffice to say he loved it, and gave us big hugs and shed a few tears when he walked in and saw what we’d done. His little face was such a picture. I may have even had a watering eye for a moment or two as well.
He was so bowled over by his room it took him over 5 minutes and several trips to and from the window sill before he spotted the giant 8ft trampoline in the back garden - cue more hugs, tears and general ‘excitmentjoy‘. Before long we were out there jumping up and down with him, quickly followed by the gang of kids. We spent the rest of the evening out there, with Jordan and his crew, myself, Steph and the grandparents all tramping to our hearts content. We had take away pizza for tea, played msn on the computer and then it was time for bed. It’s good to have him home.
