Computer Operated Boy
My life seems so crazily busy at the moment. Both work and play. This is definitely a good thing, I enjoy being busy - I’d much rather be busy than bored that’s for sure!
I have a mountain of work to do and narrowly avoided computer meltdown this weekend - fortunately my RAID hard drive duplication system I set up the last time my computer died has saved my ass! One of the drives has died, but the other one (which contained an exact duplicate of the other) seems to be running fine, which means I’ve not lost anything and I can continue to work. Which is good news because major computer problems right now would be just what I don’t need!
So yeah, I’m really busy with work but I’m enjoying most of if and I’m getting piad well for the work I’m doing, so I can’t complain. I’ve been on a bit of a spending spree since getting paid recently, so I’ve got lots of new music to listen to and I’ve been buying clothes, as well as doing lots - so it’s all good.
Steph and I are really happy and having a lot of fun together, live is good! All this means I have very little time to blog….I’m going to try and make a bit more time, just so that I have something to remember all these good/busy times by!
Last week I took Steph along to see the Dresden Dolls as I was meeting them after the show to discuss working with them. The gig was really good - I was suffering with some kind of flu-bug so I felt pretty rough, but I really enjoyed the show. It was somewhat of an event with fans performing their own art at the beginning of the show (which included dancing and stripping!) and one of the support bands was a junk band called Bang On! who were brilliant!
The Dresden Dolls were really great (despite claiming they had a really bad gig) and after the show I chatted to Amanda for a good half an hour about all things website. Hopefully we can come to an arrangement and I’ll be working with them soon.
GoodBooks have now signed to Columbia, so it’s full steam ahead with the - which is great news not only for me, but for my friend Anna who manages them - I see good things in the future for all of them!
I think that’s about it for now - I should really go and sleep, got lots to do tomorrow!
