Hey Jo…

The last 24 hours has been fun - yesterday evening I met up with my good friend Jo and went for drinks at Arbor Lights in Walsall, we sunk a few beers and I was awaiting my next one which Jo was at the bar ordering when she came back empty-handed. I pointed out that she had been going to get the drinks - yet had none…where had she been? She told me that she’d decided we would have champagne and that it was being brought over in a minute! I was looking forward to a beer, but it’s not very often friends buy you champagne, so I didn’t complain! The champagne was very nice indeed and after polishing the bottle off we went back to mine. (The next day I was teaching her how to use her new iPod!).

We continued to drink late into the night while watching Back To The Future 2 and sometime around 3am, after half a bottle of Port we both fell asleep. I woke up at 7am, fully dressed on top of my bed with my electric heater still on - it was boiling! So I got into bed properly and slept til 9ish.

After spending several hours messing around with the iPod, putting music on it and me showing Jo how to do everything, we headed back into Walsall and ended up in Arbor Lights again for lunch. We both had a very tasty Thai Herb Chicken sandwich with possibly the best potato wedges I’ve ever eaten and good salad with balsamic vinegar, as ever it was delicious - Arbor Lights is one of my favourite places to eat, I’ve never had a meal there that’s been short of superb! They also do great mochachinnos!

So after getting our fill of food and coffee we headed off in our separate ways, homeward bound in the cold. I thought I may actually die of hypothermia on the walk home, it was so cold. But I survived. Although I’m still wearing my hat cause I’m not sure if my ears have thawed out yet or not!

Jo is one of my oldest/bestest freinds and while we don’t see each other that often (she lives in Manchester, so it’s only ever few months) I always have fun hanging out with her , even if she often gets me drunk!
