Watch Out Trading Standards!
This story is absolutely hilarious! Sounds like your normal 'spammer who got caught' until the end, where this chap obviously lost the plot completely!
Spammer convicted of £1.6m scam An internet spammer who used the online nickname "weaselboy" has been convicted of running a £1.6m email scam from a bedroom in his father's house. Peter Francis-Macrae was found guilty of threatening to kill and blackmail by jurors at Peterborough Crown Court. The 23-year-old was also convicted of threatening to destroy or damage property, concealing criminal property and fraudulent trading. The court heard he ran the scam from a bedroom in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Francis-Macrae, who denied all the charges, was said to have offered thousands of email and website names that he was not registered to sell. When victims complained, he threatened to destroy their internet systems by sending millions of spam emails. He also threatened to fire-bomb the headquarters of the county's trading standards department and petrol-bomb his local police headquarters. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cambridgeshire/4442772.stmThe old 'fire-bomb trading standards and petrol-bomb your local Police station' trick obviously didn't put the authorities off!
