Idlewild

I’ve had a stupidly busy last few days, no I’m not complaining at all - I’ve just not had chance to think…my brain has been hooked up to my computer 24/7 it would seem! I have reminders going off on my phone reminding me to do things every 5 minutes and I also seem to have somehow mastered waking up early when going to bed late randomly as well.
On Saturday I made my way to Nottingham with my friend Kerrie. We stayed a her friend’s Mom’s house and there were two 5 month old kittens there, who were great fun! The reason we travelling to Nottingham was to see Idlewild (above) playing a tiny acoustic show at ‘Cabaret’. The venue held about 300 people, was all seated and was ideal for this type of gig….really intimate. Idlewild were superb! They played for about an hour and a half, had a couple of extra musicians with them and it was a really laid back relaxed gig. Lots of joking and heckling going on - a really cool atmosphere, and a very enjoyable gig! T’was nice to catch up with friends at the gig too.
Sunday brought the usual train antics when trying to get home, but we managed to get back without too many problems. Despite the National Rail website lying through it’s god damn hyperlinks to us.
Since then I’ve been working as I’ve got loads to do and not enough hands to do it with! I think I want a holiday.
